With appropriate pride, Browema received the Safety Management System Certificate on 22 June 2021. Browema International B.V. hereby demonstrably meets the requirements set by the VGM Checklist Contractors, VCA 2018/6.0.
According to director Stijn Broekmeulen, this is a great step for the company. "Of course, we already had everything in order, such as the certifications for the equipment and personnel. After all, working on water, and especially with cranes on ships, involves many risks. We are constantly striving to reduce the number of accidents and incidents to zero, so you need to have everything well organised. Still, it is good that for this VCA certification everything had to come together and you get the confirmation from an external, independent party that you are doing everything to work safely."
According to Stijn Broekmeulen, it is also a good message to staff and (potential) clients. "It shows that you take your responsibility and that it is clear; at Browema, safe working comes first!" The director emphasises that it is now also possible for Browema to be hired directly by clients. "We often work as subcontractors. We are very satisfied with that, but it is nice that we now have all the possibilities and can broaden our horizon if necessary. That is an additional advantage."
