The alternative to closed waters

Browema can also work where no vessels can reach. The coupling pontoons allow work to be carried out from the water. Each pontoon is made of sheet steel and therefore offers the perfect foundation for building scaffolding. Their shallow draft and low vertical clearance also make the pontoons suitable for working under jetties and low bridges.

The coupling pontoons come in two different sizes:

4.70 x 2.10 x 0.70 m and 2800 kg load capacity
4.20 x 2.10 x 0.70 m and a load capacity of 2600 kg

By linking, different combinations can be made, in terms of shape and size of the required work floor.

Technical specifications

Material: sheet steel

Weight: 1200 kg

Dimensions: 4.70 x 2.10 x 0.70 m
                                                       4.20 x 2.10 x 0.70 m

Payload: 2800 kg
                                                       2600 kg

The coupling pontoons are also often used to support Browema's vessels, including the landing craft and the crane ship. If required for the work, the pontoons can be fitted with a railing to increase safety.

If the coupling pontoons are not used in combination with one of our ships, they can be transported by a truck with a mobile crane. Browema can arrange for this transport.

The advantages of our coupling pontoons

Safe working floors for waters where no ship can reach

Freedom of combinations in terms of shape and size

Can be used in combination with other vessels

Low depth

Low headroom
